My vacations are almost always with my family, with my parents and siblings. Because of the strikes at the U it is difficult to schedule vacations, so we go to the beach on weekends in February. Also sometimes my mom and I go alone, either to the beach or to the south to visit her sisters. We have such a good time together, we love to walk and visit craft fairs, sunbathe, dive in the sea and go out to eat and have a drink at night. She is so much fun that we can spend hours chatting and not get bored, sometimes it's already late and we don't realize it's time to sleep. Last year we went to the beach, but this time with my daughter, she was one year old and it was the first time she saw the sea. She loved it so much that she didn't want to leave, we couldn't take her out because she started crying hahahahahah it was a difficult moment for her, I had to tell her that the sea had to go to sleep, so we had to say goodbye, while she waved her little hand (at that t...

Well, here is a photo of one of the most transforming moments of my life. Before this, I had never even considered taking responsibility for another human being, to think about someone other than myself. When I found out I was pregnant I started to prepare everything for the arrival of this little person, and I'm not talking about buying diapers and clothes hahaha believe me that will be taken care of by his whole family, I'm talking about preparing myself as a person and the main one to take care of him. I started first to take therapy to analyze my fears and strengths, then to prepare myself for childbirth, so I could feel confident in that process and also to study about newborn care and early stimulation. I had never felt so prepared for anything, I had everything under control, everything was going to be perfect, and what do you know, it was much better than I expected. The night of the birth was amazing, looking into my little daughter's eyes for the f...

I've been planning my postgraduate studies for 3 years now hahahahahaha yeah, I'm a bit obsessive. Since then I started working in the molecular materials lab, being a little 2nd year student. I started knowing the working methodology of a research lab and participating in meetings where PhD students showed the progress of their thesis. Then I was part of projects as big as early detection of Alzheimer's disease. My plan is to continue with the PhD program in Chemistry and do my thesis in this laboratory, which belongs to the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the University of Chile (from where I am writing this). I consider that multidisciplinary work is very enriching to learn new approaches to the same problem. I have a thousand reasons to do this PhD, the first one is that I love knowledge and being able to be someone capable of creating scientific knowledge and teaching it is something that fills my heart, I would also like to bring real solution...

If there is one thing I am passionate about it is research, I was previously studying to be a scientist, but I got pregnant before finishing my degree, and with a baby the path to a PhD would be more difficult. When I was in my 3rd year I had to rethink my professional future and opt for a career with better economic expectations, but at the same time related to what I like, science... The career of chemistry and pharmacy was perfect and now I am learning new activities in which I am good at and I didn't know it. I have loved pharmaceutical marketing, and I hope to be able to do a future internship in this, it is the first job I see myself related to, as it is dynamic, fun and challenging, plus I would have a work schedule that will allow me to reconcile family life. The above is my nearest goal, since I do not plan to die without developing myself in what I love the most and my dream job, which is research. I hope that when my daughter is more independent I wil...

I had previously said that my favorite food was legumes, especially lentils, but now I feel that it is much more difficult to choose a favorite dish, since there are so many rich and healthy foods. I am also starting to eat better and more varied food, as my diet was terrible during the quarantine. The recipe I have most enjoyed preparing lately has been stuffed chili. If there is something that must be on my plate is the spicy, I can not live without it ajajaj is like an obsession, I love to go to "La vega" and buy all types of chili that exist. Besides this food is an excellent source of vitamins and antioxidants.

I have always been very fond of plants. When we went to the Homecenter with my parents I always liked to go to the gardening part and choose a plant. One day, when I was about 8 years old we went to this store, but this time I wanted a bonsai, not knowing that these little trees were so expensive, obviously my parents said they could not buy it, they showed me beautiful flowers and other types of plants but I wanted that one and only that one. I wanted to have one so much that I stayed next to it as a protest until they bought it for me haha, my parents went to buy things they needed for the house and I was waiting for them to come for me, until at one point I saw a tall man with a blue shirt coming, just like my dad, and I went to the store to buy it, and I went running, I threw the sleeve of his shirt and started to make a tantrum so that he would buy me the bonsai, I still remember that I shouted "DAD BUY ME A BONSAI" then I looked up and it was not him, hahahaha I was v...

The last vacation I had was the best, I don't know if it was because I miss it now that there are more restrictions on travel. They were in the summer of 2019, in the south of Chile, I spent about a month between Valdivia, San Jose de la Mariquina and Niebla. I traveled with my mom to visit her family, she was born and lived there before moving to Santiago, so it is important to go back to her roots from time to time. Personally I also have a great connection with these places. Every time I go there I live different experiences that enrich my life. This last trip was a mix of experiences between the warmth of home, homemade flavors, beautiful landscapes, walks through native forests and Valdivian jungle, recharge energy in the river and be in harmony with nature. In spite of being a simple trip, it has been very meaningful because it was a break from a very hard year. I would love to be able to go back right now after such a long time of confinement and mental exhaustio...
