Post 1: A country you would like to visit

 

A place I want to visit since I was a child is India, more specifically the city of Agra, where the taj mahal is located.

At one point in my life I was very interested in architecture and the history behind each building. This is why I love this palace, which is made mostly of white quartz and combines elements of Islamic, Persian, Indian and even Turkish architecture.

The Taj Mahal was built as a mausoleum after the death of Emperor Shah Jahan's wife. The best builders, the best workers, the best jewels, the best stones. Everything was little for the resting place of his wife; even the course of the Yamuna River was diverted so that the Taj Mahal could be reflected in its waters. And there, after two decades of construction, in 1648, his beloved Mumtaz Mahal was buried. Years later, the emperor himself was buried next to her so that they could rest together eternally.

It is somewhat whimsical to want to travel to visit just one tourist attraction, but I am sure there are many more things about Indian culture that can enrich my life.

  I have always been very fond of plants. When we went to the Homecenter with my parents I always liked to go to the gardening part and choose a plant. One day, when I was about 8 years old we went to this store, but this time I wanted a bonsai, not knowing that these little trees were so expensive, obviously my parents said they could not buy it, they showed me beautiful flowers and other types of plants but I wanted that one and only that one. I wanted to have one so much that I stayed next to it as a protest until they bought it for me haha, my parents went to buy things they needed for the house and I was waiting for them to come for me, until at one point I saw a tall man with a blue shirt coming, just like my dad, and I went to the store to buy it, and I went running, I threw the sleeve of his shirt and started to make a tantrum so that he would buy me the bonsai, I still remember that I shouted "DAD BUY ME A BONSAI" then I looked up and it was not him, hahahaha I was v

Post 7: An expert / person in your field that you admire

 Minna Huotilainen born September 12, 1968 is a Finnish professor and brain researcher. Huotilainen applies the latest findings in neuroscience, especially to the development of working life. She is known for her ability to popularize scientific knowledge. She is a woman I admire for her work and publications. She is truly brilliant, as well as an example to follow as a science popularizer. I had the opportunity to meet her in 2018 at a conference on women and science given at the Faculty of Science.  Here is a quote from that talk: "In Finland there are many female students studying scientific disciplines and we have female academics in engineering, medicine and other knowledge, because there has been a huge investment in basic education to advance in this area.   My vacations are almost always with my family, with my parents and siblings. Because of the strikes at the U it is difficult to schedule vacations, so we go to the beach on weekends in February. Also sometimes my mom and I go alone, either to the beach or to the south to visit her sisters. We have such a good time together, we love to walk and visit craft fairs, sunbathe, dive in the sea and go out to eat and have a drink at night. She is so much fun that we can spend hours chatting and not get bored, sometimes it's already late and we don't realize it's time to sleep. Last year we went to the beach, but this time with my daughter, she was one year old and it was the first time she saw the sea. She loved it so much that she didn't want to leave, we couldn't take her out because she started crying hahahahahah it was a difficult moment for her, I had to tell her that the sea had to go to sleep, so we had to say goodbye, while she waved her little hand (at that t
