Post 2: The best holidays ever

The last vacation I had was the best, I don't know if it was because I miss it now that there are more restrictions on travel. They were in the summer of 2019, in the south of Chile, I spent about a month between Valdivia, San Jose de la Mariquina and Niebla. I traveled with my mom to visit her family, she was born and lived there before moving to Santiago, so it is important to go back to her roots from time to time. Personally I also have a great connection with these places. Every time I go there I live different experiences that enrich my life. This last trip was a mix of experiences between the warmth of home, homemade flavors, beautiful landscapes, walks through native forests and Valdivian jungle, recharge energy in the river and be in harmony with nature. In spite of being a simple trip, it has been very meaningful because it was a break from a very hard year. I would love to be able to go back right now after such a long time of confinement and mental exhaustio

Post 1: A country you would like to visit

A place I want to visit since I was a child is India, more specifically the city of Agra, where the taj mahal is located. At one point in my life I was very interested in architecture and the history behind each building. This is why I love this palace, which is made mostly of white quartz and combines elements of Islamic, Persian, Indian and even Turkish architecture. The Taj Mahal was built as a mausoleum after the death of Emperor Shah Jahan's wife. The best builders, the best workers, the best jewels, the best stones. And there, after two decades of construction, in 1648, his beloved Mumtaz Mahal was buried. Years later, the emperor himself was buried next to her so that they could rest together eternally. It is somewhat whimsical to want to travel to visit just one tourist attraction, but I am sure there are many mo

Post 0: How do you feel about English?

Hi, I'm Valentina, a chemistry and pharmacy student. To be very honest, my experience with English since I was in high school was not very good. Languages don't come easy to me and I was frustrated when I tried hard and couldn't learn.  Being at the university it has been a constant stress to feel that I know nothing compared to my classmates and it makes me anxious to face speaking and not knowing how to communicate. I try to do all the activities so I don't get lost in class, but I still feel insecure. I know that English is a very necessary tool, and I have learned to understand it in papers and scientific texts, but I feel that I still don't know how to communicate.
