Val´s English class

 When I was a child I wanted to be a veterinarian, together with my brothers and sisters we used to take animals we found in the street to our house to take care of them. my mom would always scold us for this, but the animals ended up staying with us anyway hahaha.  I hadn't thought about another career until I had chemistry in high school, that's when I knew I wanted to be a scientist. After that I wanted to apply for a PhD, but I found out that I had a baby on the way, so I had to choose a career where I could work sooner and earn more money, so I switched to chemistry and pharmacy. Today I am very happy with the changes I made, there was a part of me that did not know this career in depth and today I feel that it fits me completely. I would like to work in different areas to gain more experience. But finally I would like to be able to dedicate myself to research and contribute to science.

Hello, my name is Valentina I'm from Santiago and I currently live in Maipu. I am a student of chemistry and pharmacy at the University of Chile. I am a mom of a beautiful little girl, she is one year old. We are a small family but full of love. I love playing with her, baking cookies and dancing. We love "Perro Chocolo", we know all his songs. I love martial arts, I have been practicing taekwondo for 15 years. I am a black belt II Dan and I have also been an instructor for 7 years. I also love science, research and learning new discoveries. I like to teach and bring knowledge to the community. I was part of many science workshops for children and I have participated in several science fairs. My greatest ambition is to help everyone to have access to scientific knowledge and also to contribute to reduce the gender gap in science.
